DELIVERY INFORMATION
Delivery Charges:
The cost of delivery within Edmonton, St. Albert and Sherwood Park is $13.95. Please see our directory of fees for the other outlying areas such as Fort Saskatchewan, Spruce Grove and Nisku or Range Road addresses. We deliver to all funeral homes, hotels, hospitals, NAIT and the University of Alberta.
Accuracy of Information:
To avoid delivery delays please provide the correct address and phone number (and if possible an alternate phone number) for each order. We prefer to call ahead to ensure that the recipient will be present. However, during busy holiday periods we may not be able to call all recipients. If the recipient is not home when we call, we will contact the sender by the next business day and try again to deliver. Sometimes alternate delivery arrangements can be made with a neighbor. Flowers by Merle assumes no responsibility for these special arrangements by customer request. If the recipient is not home at the time of delivery, the driver may attempt to leave the flowers in a safe location. In this case, the recipient or sender will be notified with a tag on the door or by phone. We thank you in advance for providing as much information as you think necessary to ensure a smooth delivery process.
You may also arrange for the recipient to pick up their gift and save on the delivery charge. Often this may be more convenient for the recipient. In the rare event that the recipient refuses to accept a delivery, the sender is still liable for the full cost of the flowers and delivery charges.
Anonymous Sender:
If flowers are sent anonymously, and the recipient requests the sender's name, Flowers by Merle is obligated to disclose this information. An incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer may result in an additional delivery charge if a second delivery is required.
Delivery Schedule:
Same day delivery is usually possible with at least 1 to 2 hours prior notice to the actual delivery time. Deliveries leave our store Monday to Saturday at 10am & 1 pm. Deliveries arrive at their destination generally between 30 minutes to 3 hours after these posted times.

Sorry, we do not deliver Sundays except for special events by prior arrangement.
Special courier for timed deliveries:
Special delivery arrangements outside of the above hours or at a specific time can be made by courier (for a surcharge) or in some cases by our own vehicle depending on the location of the recipient. Please call us toll free to confirm these arrangements.
Delivery Confirmation:
We will generally send out a confirmation of delivery of your on-line order via email.

Return Policy:
Flowers by Merle is proud of our excellent reputation for customer care and satisfaction. We strive for optimum quality and freshness for every bouquet we deliver. If for any reason your flowers do not meet your expectations, we ask that you notify our friendly staff within 48 hours of receiving your flowers so that we can assess the problem and find a satisfactory solution. Our aim is to please every customer. The original bouquet or item should be returned to us as soon as possible with the packaging information.
Occasionally, during the packing or delivery process damage can occur. Our best effort will be made to replace the damaged product. Because flowers and plants are perishable products, there are many factors such as extreme weather conditions, lack of fresh water or harsh sunlight which can affect longevity.
For product care or more information please do not hesitate to call us. We will be happy to answer your questions. Flowers by Merle reserves the right to refuse exchange requests after the 48 hour expiry period.
Substitution Policy:
Certain colors of flowers or containers pictured may not be available due to seasonal variation or supply and demand. In these cases, we will do our best to make a suitable substitution that retains the overall look of what you have ordered on line while maintaining or exceeding the price you have paid. We will try to maintain as closely as possible, the style and either the color choice or flower choice of the bouquet you originally ordered. If you require extra assistance or product information, please call us directly on our toll free number so that we can confirm exactly what is available and in season. Additionally, during the major holiday periods, it may be necessary to substitute a specific container or keepsake item due to increased demand.
